IT has invested considerable resources over the last two decades in creating business workflows that integrate different application and data silos. These business workflows were delivered onto corporate-owned PCs.
If an end user was on a company-supplied PC and on the corporate network, they could seamlessly navigate between email, intranet, ERP , SFA and a CRM application. However, if they were on the road, there was way more friction and complexity. The end user would boot the PC, login to the PC, fire up the VPN client, login to the VPN client, launch the application and log in to the application.
If they were a consultant or wanted to use their PC or Mac at home, they would have access to significantly reduced capabilities through a clientless SSL-VPN connection. If they were on a mobile device, like a phone or a tablet, then they may not have access to even this reduced set of applications and data.
In order for a workspace on a device to deliver on the promise of increased usage and higher productivity, it needs to reduce the friction (multiple clients, multiple logins, etc.) and increase the range of applications and data available.
At Workspot, we have enabled many more business workflows from any device while also systematically reducing the friction of executing those workflows to help mobilize your enterprise.
