• Native Email Configuration
• Enterprise App Store
Security with Big Data
• Security SDK
• Splunk integration for Security Information and Event Management (SIEM)
Enhanced User Experience and Productivity
• Home Screen Personalization
• Open-In - open documents in 3rd party applications for viewing and editing
Native App Support and Management
We now allow you to manage native apps in Workspot Control. Native iOS applications in iTunes and homegrown iOS applications can be provisioned and de-provisioned from within Control. IT can enable standard iOS7 policies for the applications, like auto-removal when the MDM profile is deleted, and/or to not backup the applications’ data onto iCloud and remote wipe.
Native Email Configuration
With Workspot Control, IT can configure native email client on an iOS7 device. Workspot uses standard iOS7 MDM profiles to provision enterprise email on devices.
Enterprise App Store
IT can also enable an enterprise app store within Workspot. End users can select and install applications made available to them by IT. These applications can be provisioned and de-provisioned by IT using Workspot Control.
Software Development Kit (SDK)
We have added support for enterprise customers to use our SDK to populate custom security events. This allows customers to leverage Workspot’s Control Events stream for audit/compliance/discoverability even for native apps. SDK is available for download here.
Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) integration with Splunk
SIEM + Splunk integration plugin allows Splunk customers to pull Workspot events data into Splunk. The data can be viewed, searched and manipulated with standard Splunk tools.
Home Screen Personalization
In the Workspot Client, application icons and application tiles can be moved. Workspot home screen can be re-arranged for the iPhone form-factor. Users can hold the app tile and move them on the screen for personalization. Note: This feature is only supported for iPhone.
The 'Open-In' feature allows mobile users to open documents (e.g. Microsoft Word and PowerPoint) in 3rd party applications for viewing and editing. This feature is administered through Workspot Control Groups. Events will capture when the mobile user taps onto Open-In, and record what 3rd party app the end user is using on the mobile device.
